African Autos Car Hire is situated in the heart of Cape Town's city centre, within walking distance of the Waterfront, Table Mountain, city hotels & lodges and many of Cape Town's backpackers hostels.
You can find us at the corner of Burg and Hout Street in the city centre - right next to the bustling Green Market Square and Cape Town Tourism offices.

Directions from Waterfront / Green Point
- If coming from the Waterfront, along Somerset Road, High Level Road or Eastern Boulevard, make your way to the intersection of Buitengracht Street and Strand Street
- Turn into Strand Street
(towards the city / away from Green Point)
- Continue along Strand Street, passing through 2 or 3 intersection
- Turn right into Long Street at the traffic lights
- Take your first left into Castle Street
- Castle Street ends at a T-Junction with Burg Street
- Turn right into Burg Street and find parking in this area.
- Our offices are on the first floor of the building which is on the corner of Burg and Hout Street.
Directions from Atlantic Seaboard, Camps Bay
- Travel towards the city on Kloofnek Road
- Go straight through the circle at the top of the hill and continue down towards the city
- Travelling down towards the city, Kloofnek road becomes Upper Buitengracht
- Upper Buitengracht becomes Buitengracht Street, continue along this road (towards the waterfront, Table Mountain will be behind you)
- Pass through 2 or 3 intersections untill you reach a set of traffic lights at Strand Street
- Turn right into Strand Street
- Continue along Strand Street, passing through 2 or 3 intersection
- Turn right into Long Street at the traffic lights
- Take your first left into Castle Street
- Castle Street ends at a T-Junciton with Burg Street
- Turn right into Burg Street and find parking in this area.
- Our offices are on the first floor of the building which is on the corner of Burg and Hout Street.
Directions from Southern Suburbs
- Take the M3 towards Cape Town
- Continue past the University of Cape Town (on left) and Groote Schuur Hospital (on right)
- The M3 splits into two roads: De Waal Drive (towards Table Mountain and Cable Car - 2 left lanes) and Eastern Boulevard (towards CTICC and Waterfront - 3 right lanes)
- Stay in one of the right lanes (Eastern Boulevard towards Waterfront)
- As you approach the city on the Eastern Boulevard, you will approach a set of traffic lights.
- Continue straight through the traffic lights (the M3 becomes Buitengracht Street after the traffic lights)
- Continue through another set of traffic lights (Somerset Road)
- At the next set of traffic lights turn left into Strand Street
- Continue along Strand Street, passing through 2 or 3 intersection
- Turn right into Long Street
- Take your first left into Castle Street
- Castle Street ends at a T-Junciton with Burg Street
- Turn right into Burg Street and find parking in this area.
- Our offices are on the first floor of the building which is on the corner of Burg and Hout Street.
